A woman was found hanging from a ceiling fan in the hall of a rented house in Gandhinagar on Sector 11 on Wednesday morning, police said. The woman wrote a five-page suicide note urging her mother to look after her 10-year-old daughter, police said.
He dismissed any suspicion of foul play. The family of the woman said she was depressed and was facing a financial crisis.
Based on a written complaint filed by her family, an investigation has been launched under Section 174 of the CRPC, police said.

Gurugram: The Haryana Water Resources Authority and the State Irrigation Department have identified 104 of Gurugram’s 217 villages as being severely affected by groundwater and “over-exploiting” them, officials said on Wednesday. The state is severely underground, but 1,093 is under moderate groundwater pressure. The situation in Farrukhnagar and Sohna is relatively good because they contain only seven and six over-exploited villages (respectively).
Police have identified 38 places that are most vulnerable to widespread driving in Gurugram
Gurugram: Gurugram traffic police submitted a list of 38 places where the maximum number of right-side driving violations were reported to the Gurugram Metropolitan Authority last week and told them to install CCTV cameras there, officials said on Wednesday. He added that the list includes major places like Hero Honda Chowk, Ifco Chowk, MDI Chowk, Rajiv Chowk, Subhash Chowk, Bristol Chowk, AIT Chowk, Hamilton Court Road and Business Center Road.
Haryana will soon buy a 9-seater helicopter for VVIPs

Gurugram: A retired Army hawaldar who was shot dead at his residence in the Basai enclave in Sector 10 on Monday wanted to avoid repaying his brother-in-law’s loan. ₹1.5 lakh, police said on Wednesday. According to police, Naveen Kumar, 21, was arrested from a hotel in Rohtak on Tuesday evening. The pistol and four live cartridges used in the murder have been seized from Kumar.
