CD Projekt said Thursday that it plans to release the delayed Witcher 3 game for next-generation consoles in the fourth quarter following guidance from the production team.
Poland’s largest video game maker had planned to release “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” for next-gen consoles in the second quarter, but that was delayed in April as CD Projekt began work on the game again within the company.
CD Projekt did not give a new release date last month, but said “there was no significant delay”.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which debuted in 2015, has sold over 40 million copies, while the entire series has sold over 65 million copies to date.
In March, CD Projekt said it had begun work on a new game in the “The Witcher” series.
