After the incident, the government headed by VP Singh decided to celebrate Rajiv Gandhi’s death day as Anti-Terror Day.

This year, the Ministry of the Interior decided to hold a “pledge-taking ceremony” on Friday, May 20, as May 21 falls on Saturday, a closed holiday for central government employees. On this day, central government employees vowed against terrorism.

The pledge says, “We, the people of India, having a firm belief in our country’s traditions of nonviolence and tolerance, solemnly affirm to oppose vigorously all forms of terrorism and violence. We pledge to support and promote peace, social harmony and understanding among all our fellow human beings and to fight against the forces of disorder that threaten human lives and their values. “.
