In 2018, during the Filmfare Awards, Shah Rukh Khan was hosting the awards night when Ranveer Singh got his attention and shouted ‘marry me SRK’.
In an old clip shared online from the 63rd Filmfare Awards, Ranveer Singh was seen shouting “Marry me, Shah Rukh Khan” as SRK anchored the stage. Shah Rukh then called Ranveer Singh on stage and talked about his colorful attire, calling him ‘Atrangi (full of colours)’. In a clip from the 2018 awards show, Ranveer Singh can be heard shouting, “Marry me Shah Rukh”, to which SRK replies, “Ranveer me on stage”. He then invites Ranveer on stage and shows actor Amitabh Bachchan’s clothes in his outfit. Ranveer replied that his outfit had a picture of Sunny Deol and also a poster of SRK’s film Baazigar. Shah Rukh then calls Ranveer “Atrangi”, to which he replies, “People sleep movies, eat movies and I wear movies too.”
Then Ranveer asks Shah Rukh to recite some dialogues from his films. After SRK fulfills his wish, Ranveer also repeats his dialogues in his own funny style. Shahrukh later complains “Yeh yahaan mere dialogues ka majak udane aya hai. Tuje pata nahi hai mere dialogues mein magic hota hai (He has come to make fun of my dialogues. You don’t know this but my dialogues are magical)”. Ranveer replied, “Yhaan to koi magic nahi hua. Saare iconic dialogues bol diye magar kuch nahi hua (Your magic didn’t work here. You said all your iconic dialogues but no magic happened).”
Ranveer, who turned 37 on Wednesday, was last seen in the sports-drama 83, which also starred his wife Deepika Padukone. He also starred in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani opposite Alia Bhatt. He also has Rohit Shetty’s Circus in the pipeline, which will hit the theaters on December 23 this year.
