Watch: Rahul Dravid’s appearance in Dhawan’s viral video breaks the internet | Cricket

Team India arrived in the West Indies early today as the team gears up for a white ball tour of the country. The Shikhar Dhawan-led side will face the West Indies in three ODIs, after which first-team captain Rohit Sharma will return to the squad for five T20Is. Several players including Rohit, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant were rested during the fifty-over series against West Indies. Along with this, Kohli and Bumrah are also rested in T20.

India left for the West Indies on Tuesday and skipper Shikhar Dhawan, known for his hilarious Instagram reels besides his prowess in the opening order, took to his official account to update fans on the team’s exit. He did it in his own style, however, using a viral Instagram trend and including several Team India members, including head coach Rahul Dravid.

India’s Dinesh Karthik, who made a comeback to the T20I team last year after impressive performances in the 2022 Indian Premier League, wrote on Dhawan’s reel, “Only Shikhar can pull off these feats”.

Indian actor Ranveer Singh, meanwhile, tweeted, “HAHAHAHAHAHAH ONE NUMBER!”

Dhawan has been part of the Indian ODI setup but has been ruled out of the competition in the other two formats. He returned to the team earlier this month for the three-match series against England, which India won 2-1. However, Dhawan’s performances remained inconsistent in the series, as he recorded scores of 31*, 9, and 1. As the team takes on the Windies, the left-handed batsman will aim to regain form.

While several first-teamers have been rested, many youngsters like Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson and Arshdeep Singh have been selected for the ODI series.
