Last week, Gandhi was interrogated for nearly 30 hours between June 13 and June 15 – amid fierce protests by the investigating agency. Several prominent leaders of the party, including Sachin Pilot, and Ranjeep Surjewala, were arrested during the agitation and later released.

On June 17, the ED summoned Rahul Gandhi for the fourth time. However, he had requested to postpone his trial by referring to his mother Sonia Gandhi’s health. Sonia Gandhi has been in hospital since June 12 due to covidine-related problems. He has been called to trial on June 23.
Meanwhile, amid congressional protests over questioning ED Gandhi, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesman Sambhit’s character on Monday said ‘the law is equal to all.’ “No one in this country is Queen Victoria or a prince. They are not under investigation. The law is equal. Everyone is being investigated for corruption. The public is aware of Rahul Gandhi’s family and his role in misusing the country’s money through the National Herald scandal. He told ANI.
