As soon as fielder Abidin Sakande caught up to bring India down to two, Pant looked back at the slip cordon and celebrated with a fist pump before joining the rest of the Leicestershire team. Bumrah and Pujara also joined the players and congratulated the fielder.
Rohit, who won the toss in the first match of the tour, chose to bat first. Openers Rohit and Shubhmana Gill combined for a patient 35 runs before exiting in the 10th over. Walker then ran through Lin-uyp, taking three wickets before lunch.
Virat Kohli and KS Bharat combined for an unbeaten 62 runs for the sixth wicket before tea.
