Watch: Livingstone takes an absolute stunner to send back Abhishek in IPL’22 tie | Cricket

One of the main attractions of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season is the amazing catches. Evin Lewis gave fans a memorable catch a few nights ago, sending the Lucknow Super Giants to the playoffs of the 2022 season. And on Sunday night, the Wankhede crowd in Mumbai witnessed another spectacle, this time by Punjab Kings player Liam Livingstone who sent Sunrisers Hyderabad batter Abhishek Sharma back. It happened in the 11th over of the match when Harpreet Brar pulled out a flight delivery. Abhishek blinked at the track and supported himself with a long-on fence with a laughed drive, but the biggest risk he took was patrolling the Livingstone zone. The PBKS star waited for the ball and then timed his jump to catch the ball with both hands in front of the ropes and made sure he didn’t touch the ad skirts.

With the dismissal, SRH lost their third wicket with Abhishek making 43 off 32 balls.

Earlier, SRH stand-in captain Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who won the toss, chose to bat first. The team lost opener Priam Garg before Abhishek pulled things back in favor of SRH. But with the wickets falling at regular intervals, SRH failed to find a consistent partnership and eventually ended with 157 for eight. Bowler and Nathan Ellis took three wickets each.

“I wanted to play my natural game, and play my shots with loose balls. [Lara] That said, play your normal game. The pitch is slow and going to rotate. I go to the hero every time [to have a ball]… We were looking for 160-170, but this is a good score, so let’s see, “Abhishek said during the innings break.
