The Indian Air Force chief was on a two-day visit to Bangalore and inspected the aircraft being inducted into the IAF as part of its drive towards ‘self-motivated defence’.

Indian Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhary inspected and flew indigenous light combat aircraft Mk 1 Tejas, light combat helicopter and HTT-40, officials said on Friday.

The Indian Air Force chief was on a two-day visit to Bangalore and inspected the aircraft being inducted into the IAF as part of its drive towards ‘self-motivated defence’.

“CAS had a two-day visit to Bangalore where he flew the #indigenous platforms, Light Combat Aircraft Mk 1 ‘Tejas’, Light Combat Helicopter and HTT-40 being inducted into the #IAF as part of its drive towards self-sufficient in defence,” the IAF tweeted.

Taking note of the situation, the IAF chief interacted with the test personnel.

“Updates on the CAS Tejas program and the capabilities of two other indigenous platforms were demonstrated. They interacted with test crews and designers to understand the current status and future plans,” the IAF added.
