The trade anticipates that the positive reviews and excellent word of mouth will translate into an even greater appetite for Vikram over the weekend. The film is also said to be showing growth in the box office in the northern states of India, having reportedly grossed over Rs 5 crore so far.
Meanwhile, Vikram is seeing great success in the international markets as well. The film is said to have generated approximately Rs 80 crore in international box office receipts.
Besides playing the lead role, Kamal Hassan has also financed Vikram under the banner of Raaj Kamal International Films. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi, Fahd Fasil and Syria. And a Vikram sequel is already on the cards.
