Varun Dhawan calls Jugjugg Jeeyo ‘a progressive take on infidelity, divorce’

Actor Varun Dhawan says his upcoming family artist Jugjugg Jeeyo is offering a fresh look at infidelity and divorce.

Supported by Dharma Productions, the comedy-drama focuses on a family where a father and son plan to divorce their partners.

The film is directed by Raj Mehta, and also features veteran actors Neetu Kapoor and Anil Kapoor In addition to Kiara Advani, Manish Paul and Prajakta Kohli.

Varun Dhaan said Jugjugg Jeeyo may be laden with all the commercial kettle metaphors, but at its core it’s an emotional story about relationships.

The ending of this movie is unpredictable. We’re used to dealing with infidelity on the surface and then scrubbing it under the rug. In this movie, it was dealt with in an interesting way. It is progressive and new. “We hope people are happy with it,” the actor said at the movie’s promotional event here.

Raj Mehta, who is known for being a box office hit in 2019 Good Newzz, said that they touched on the topic of divorce but not with the intent of offering any solutions.

We didn’t try to provide any answers but we gave them in an entertaining way. Hopefully these characters will lead audiences to some answers.”

The ceremony was also attended by Neetu Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. Veteran stars have said that people need to look at the pros and cons in their partners.

“Marriage is all about thinking from your partner’s point of view. Both the people involved need to take this approach. I am someone who looks at both the pros and cons,” said Anil, who is married to Sunita Kapoor in real life. Only two people involved in a relationship have a responsibility to take care of it.

When asked if she had any advice for her son Ranbir Kapoor, who recently tied the knot with Alia Bhatt, the actress said that the two are smart enough to figure things out for themselves.

“Children these days are very smart, intelligent and conscientious. They don’t need advice from anyone. They see their parents and learn from their relationship,” she added.

Presented by Viacom18 Studios and Dharma Productions, Jugjugg Jeeyo will be launched on Friday.
