Unidentified persons booked for cow slaughtering in Rajasthan village

A case of cow slaughter against unknown persons was registered on Tuesday in Bharatpur district after the remains of a cow were found, police said.

Santosh Kumar, Gorehra Police Station, said the villagers tried to block the road near the police station after finding a dead cow in a field, and another in a state injured in Sunukhar village.

He said that a vet examined the injured cow and sent it to Ghoshala for treatment.

He added that samples were sent from the dead cow for examination.

Kumar said the case has been filed regarding the complaint of Jagendra, a villager, and the matter is being investigated.

He said that traffic resumed after the locals were calmed down by confirming that action had been taken against the accused.
