Trailblazers captain Smriti Mandhana admitted that her team failed to rotate the strike at regular intervals which cost them in the women’s T20 challenge match against the supernova at Maharashtra Cricket Ground Pune. The Trailblazers began their title defense on Monday but Harmanpreet Kaur & Co. completely overtook him in the opening match.
After losing the lottery, the Trailblazers managed to limit the Supernovas to 163 out of 20 despite their dominant start with the bats. The Supernova lost the last five wickets for a 35-round run as Mandana used bowlers who fell completely at the end of the business in innings.

Mandana said his team started the chase well but they lost too many wickets in the middle which hurt them.
“Definitely not the score we wanted, we did really well limiting it to 160, in batting we were going to chase it but we lost a lot of wickets, and that’s something we need to work on,” Mandana said in his post-match presentation. .
Southpaw further said that she failed to take singles and doubles which she feels is something of an undervalue in T20 cricket.
“We were on a par with them until the end of day nine, but lost track. We need more singles and doubles, and that’s something that hasn’t been underestimated,” she added.
“I told the bowlers that the wicket is good and the pitch is fast, so the message was that they shouldn’t panic even if they went for a run.”

Mandhana further hinted that the Trailblazers may be looking to make changes to their batting lineup in upcoming matches.
“We need to think about the batting lineup, for the rest we will come back stronger in the next match,” she concluded.
Meanwhile, Pooja Vastrakar picked up four wickets for just 12 rounds in a superb bowling show as the Supernovas claimed an easy 49-round victory over the Trailblazers in a record-breaking opening match of the tournament.
22-year-old Vastrakar claimed Trailblazer captain Mandana (34), her opening partner Hayley Matthews (18), Sophia Dunkley (1) and Salma Khatun (0) in separate runs to shred the batting line-up for the defending champions.
