‘Time for BJP to fix goals for next 25 years and work continuously for them’: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that eight years of exemption for the BJP-led National Democratic Assembly (NDA) had been dedicated to achieving balanced development, social justice and social security in the country, while stressing that people’s confidence in the government’s implementation mechanism had been restored after 2014.

Addressing the BJP National Bureau holders meeting in Jaipur via video conference, Modi asked party leaders and workers to launch a campaign to ensure that no eligible poor recipients are excluded from the government’s welfare measures.

This month, the assembly government will complete eight years. These have been eight years of resolutions and accomplishments. These eight years have been committed to service, good governance and the welfare of the poor.

Modi said eight years had met the expectations of small farmers, workers and the middle class.

These eight years have been the years of balanced development, social justice and social security in the country. These eight years have been dedicated to empowering mothers, daughters and sisters.

The Prime Minister added that the post-2014 BJP government had restored people’s confidence in the government, its systems and mechanisms which had been lost earlier.

Modi said the world is looking at India with great expectations today.

Likewise, people in India have a special affection for the BJP. The people of the country look upon the BJP with great faith and hope.”

The Prime Minister said that BJP after 2014 pulled people out of despair and today people are full of aspirations.

“The hope and aspirations of the people of the country increase our responsibility,” he told BJP officials.

He noted that on the 75th anniversary of independence, the country is setting itself goals for the next 25 years, adding that this is the time for the BJP to set goals for the next 25 years and work continuously towards them.

In an apparent criticism of the opposition parties, Modi said that some political parties continue to look for small incidents of tension to inject toxins for their selfish interests.

He told BJP leaders and workers, “Attempts will be made to keep you away from the development issues of the country but you have to stick to it.”
