Tata Motors aim to grow in excess of 40% over Q2 FY22: Senior official

With an eye on the upcoming Onam season, home-grown automaker Tata Motors plans to increase its sales in Kerala by 40 per cent in the second quarter of fiscal 2022.

Rajan Amba, Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Customer Care, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited said, Kerala is a big market for the hatch and SUV segments.

Amba was in Kerala to announce consumer offers for the automotive brand ahead of the Onam festival in Kerala.

A senior Tata Motors official said that due to the enhanced customer experience, the brand has been able to maintain a retention rate of over 72 per cent, the highest in the country.

“Our products Tiago, Punch and Nexon are among the top 10 best-selling cars in Kerala. We are confident that the festive season will boost our sales performance in the state and we are targeting a growth of over 40 percent over Q2 FY22, in the region,” Amba said in a release.

Kerala is crucial for Tata Motors and in the previous year, the state has emerged as the second best performing market for the company in terms of sales, he said.

The company has doubled its sales network to 100 stores and increased its service centers to 51 centers last year and is aggressively expanding its reach in the state, he said. “Tata Motors has been consistently innovating in the field of aftersales and providing a two-wheeler based quick response service to enhance customer experience with the recently launched 18 EzServe units across the state,” he said.

To mark the Onam celebrations, the company is extending offers up to 60,000 on its cars and is offering priority delivery to customers.
