Tarvinder Singh Marwah, old Cong hand who won thrice from Delhi’s Jangpura, joins BJP

The three-time MLA Congress from Delhi’s Tarvinder Singh Marwa joined the BJP on Wednesday, criticizing his old party and the Gandhi family for allegedly marginalizing the old members.

Marwa was elected to the Delhi Legislative Assembly for three terms from 1998 to 2013 from the Gangpura constituency. He is currently a member of the management committee of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara. Speaking at Bharatiya Janata Party headquarters on Wednesday, he delivered heavy blows to the top leadership of the Congress, referring to Rahul Gandhi as “Raja” and Sonia Gandhi as “Maharani”.

“I am someone who got a crowd of 10 people in two days for Rahul Gandhi’s rally in Gangpura during the elections. I asked for time to meet him for a year and a half. Our mahr has not met a single worker for three years.”

Referring to the recent Rajya Sabha nominations from the party as ‘Batwara’, he urged the “Group 23” members to join the BJP.

“Even people who were not worthy of being Chaprasi have been given leadership positions… I want to tell the G-23 that you will get nothing from the party. All CCP chiefs are currently members of Rahul Gandhi. Their statements are not being considered. Biologicals and their contributions.People like Ghulam Nabi Azad and Sushil Kumar Shinde put a lot of work for the party…
