Pune’s tabla wizard Arvind Kumar Azad was awarded a concert by city music lovers for the 273rd monthly Baitak event organized by Pradeen Art Center.
The musicians were presented by the tabla wizard Arvind Kumar Azad of Pune for the 273rd monthly Baitak event hosted by Pradeen Art Center on Saturday at the ML Kosar Indoor Hall in Sector 35.
Azad started the program with a traditional Uthman after Teen Tal based Peshkar of Benares Gharana. He then moved on to present the Kaida, Rayla, Palta before the technical side which included the Gats, Chakradhar and Fermishi Chakradhara amongst the applause.
The Tabla wizard concluded his recitation with the crisp traditional bandhis of his gharana. Rakesh Kumar participated in the harmonium argument.
Musical Drama Academy Award winner Shobha Kosar, Secretary of the Antique Art Center Sajal Kosar and Tabla Guru P Sushil Jain were honored with bouquets and souvenirs.
