Singer Zubeen Garg hospitalised in Dibrugarh after head injury

Singer Zubeen Garg was admitted to a hospital in Assam on Wednesday. The singer suffered minor head injuries.

Singer and music composer Zubeen Garg has been admitted to a private hospital in Assam’s Dibrugarh town. On Wednesday, Zubeen was admitted to the hospital with a minor injury on his head. Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sharma has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Dibrugarh district to ensure that Zubeen, who is currently undergoing treatment at Sanjeevani Hospital in Dibrugarh due to physical ailments, gets all quality medical services. The Assam CM directed to make arrangements to take the artists to Guwahati or outside the state for further treatment by air ambulance if necessary. Further, the Chief Minister directed the State Health Minister Keshab Mahanta to oversee the entire process of providing medical services to prominent artistes.

A Zubeen fan tweeted on Wednesday, “So sad to hear that Zubeen Garg is injured again. May God save him soon.” When one said, “May he get well soon.”

The playback singer has composed music for Assamese, Bengali and Bollywood films. He made his singing debut in 1992 with Anamika. He later released several albums and singles including Chandni Raat (1995), Chanda (1996), Sparsh (2000), Nupur (2001) and many more pop solo albums. He has also released devotional albums Mahadev (2004), Mandir (2005), Brahma (2005) and more.

Some of his popular songs include Ya Ali from the 2006 Bollywood film Gangster and Dil Tu Hi Bata from Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish 3. Besides his singing talent, Zubeen Garg got his big break in films in 2008.
