Sidhu Moose Wala murder: 14 days on, shooters continue to evade police

Fourteen days have passed since the shooting and murder of Punjabi singer and politician Shubhadeep Singh Sidhu in Jawaharke village in Mansa district, but amid a parallel investigation by Punjab and Delhi police, shooters involved in crime continue to escape the police.

The Punjab Police Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is investigating the Moos Wala case, has so far managed to arrest people involved in providing logistical support and providing shelter to the attackers.

“We have identified four shooters so far, but Delhi Police yesterday said they had identified six. In the past, they claimed to have identified eight shooters, some of whom were later found not to be involved. “The parallel investigation by the Delhi police is creating great confusion and is delaying the progress of the case,” a SIT member requested anonymity.

“Delhi Police have said that Harkamal Ranu is one of the shooters but he is not. They are involved in providing logistical support and providing shelter to shooters. Conversely, the findings are becoming increasingly difficult. He said that Sourav Mahakal was a shooter and now he has provided shooters, ”he said

The ‘fan’ who hinted at the singer’s assassins has been in police custody for 3 days

On Saturday, Mansa’s local court granted Sandeep Singh alias Kekda three days of police custody, posing as a fan of the singer and sending information about his mobility to the shooters.

Mansa police brought four men – Monu Dagar, Pawan Bishnoi, Naseeb Khan and Devinder – all residents of Haryana – on production warrants. The court sent them to police custody until June 15. After the murder of Moos Wala, the Moga police arrested all of them in the murder of the gangster and later sent them to judicial custody and brought to Manasa.

According to a special investigation team, Dagger provided two shooters while Pawan Bishnoi and Naseeb provided Bolero for the crime. Devinder was also instrumental in providing the vehicle for the accused.

Meanwhile, the gangsters Manpreet Singh Manna, Saraj Sandhu alias Mintoo, Prabhadeep Singh Pabbi, Manpreet Singh Bhau and Charanjit Singh Chetan have been sent to judicial custody after the police had ended their custody on Saturday.

Punjab Police have so far arrested 11 people in connection with the murder of Moos Wala, who has provided logistic support, sheltered the attackers.
