Last month, Shah Rukh Khan’s Bandra house Mannat was trending on social media after fans noticed that the popular bungalow gate had a new nameplate after years. Several fans shared pictures and selfies from the venue, making the bungalow a talking place. Over the past few days, the bungalow and its nomenclature have again been the subject of debate. However, this time fans have noticed that the nameplate is missing, something that has never happened before. Also Read: Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat Trend on Twitter After Fans Observe the New Name
Mannat is a popular tourist spot in Mumbai as it is located across the street from Shahrukh Khan’s home and Bandra’s Bandstand. Many fans reach the gates of the house every day to click on pictures with the Mannath nameplate. But over the past two weeks, many fans have noticed that the nameplate is missing. On May 12, a fan tweeted a video from outside Mannat and wrote, “I went to #Manat for the first time in my life today and I saw there was no nameplate. I thought a little work was in progress. Another tweet at the same time showed a picture of the front of the house with a similar caption. As of Thursday, many of the tweets shared by Mannat’s fans had not yet been named.
Many fans are wondering if this is a theft, but others have suggested that this is unlikely given the security situation of Shah Rukh’s home. Some people wonder if this is part of Gauri Khan’s internal (external?) Design experiment. The tweet from May 11 read, “Aaj # mannat se name plate gaib hai matlab full on trial chul raha hai @ gaurikhan (not from name plate mannat today, ie trial is on).”
However, there is no mystery as the nameplate is simply being repaired. A Hindustan Times City report quoted a source as saying, “It has been removed for repair. It is in the house, actually in the garden, and is put back in after being repaired.
A panel titled Mannat has been a favorite selfie for fans for years. Recent reports say the new nameplate installed in April is valuable. ₹25 lakhs. However, these reports were not verified.
Shah Rukh recently made his appearance on the Mannath viewing balcony for the first time in nearly three years. During the Eid, Shah Rukh greeted the fans and took a selfie with them. A few years ago, the actor routinely welcomed fans from the venue and sometimes even brought their children with them. However, his looks are rare with an infectious hit.
