Realtors Association of Real Estate Developers Association of India Chennai Chapter on Tuesday Said a second airport to the state capital It would boost the aviation and real estate sectors.
Chennai is set to get its second airport in Parandur near here at an estimated cost of Rs 20,000 crore which will be able to handle Rs 10 crore passengers annually, Prime Minister MK Stalin said earlier in the day.
In an official statement, he said, the airport will have two runways, terminal buildings, taxi lanes and a cargo terminal.
In a statement, CREDAI Chennai while welcoming the decision to establish the airport in Parandur said that the second airport in Chennai will give a huge boost to the aviation sector.
“It is critical that the airport connection is well planned and implemented in global city models. This should give impetus to the creation of auxiliary and support industries in the corridor,” Credi said.
Credi said that the location of the new airport will be put on the global logistical map and will get a boost with more real estate developments, be it residential, commercial, retail or hospitality.
