The actor, who is busy hosting shows and taking up advertisements on social media, would love to return to acting soon and this time opt for a seasonal show.
For Soumya Tandon, work-life balance has always been important and she is happy to maintain it today. After quitting her daily soap in 2020, where she worked for more than five years, the actor is now enjoying an “interesting, unstable phase” where she has time on her hands before signing up for a “long-term commitment”.
Ask if she sees herself returning to acting, and she says, “I would love to return to acting soon. But this time, I will opt for a seasonal show, probably on OTT. I don’t see myself signing up for a 25-day 12-hour shoot kind of life. For me, daily soaping might not work, unless it’s out of the box I can’t deny. I don’t see myself going back to the daily soap world,” he says, adding that he was “never a daily soap actor to begin with”.
These days, Tandon is busy hosting shows and taking up advertisements on social media. “I am back to my old life of hosting and traveling with events and award shows. I am enjoying this cut off stage as I was busy with the TV show. Now, I am doing many advertisements on social media, which keeps me busy, but gives me enough time for my family,” says Bhabhiji on Ghar Par Hai! an actor
Tandon is excited to take on a project that will help him explore his performance-based role. “Now it’s time to explore the actor in me. I am planning to co-produce a short film and it would be fascinating to play a role in making it,” he concludes.
