Russia is finally feeling the heat of sanctions imposed by the West for its aggression against Ukraine. According to a PTI report, Russia has defaulted on LNG supply to India. Russian gas producer Gazprom has failed to deliver 5 LNG cargoes to India since June. It is under a long-term contract with India’s largest gas firm GAIL to export 2.85 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) annually. According to a PTI report, Gazprom cited gas sourcing difficulty due to restrictions. GAIL is now looking at alternatives, including tying up supplies from the US and other sources in the Middle East, the report added. Watch this video for more details.
