Rhea Chakraborty’s career is ruined for no fault of her, says producer Rana

Rhea Chakraborty is reviewing a Bengali film script offered by filmmaker Rana Sarkar. He confirmed the development in an interview.

Actress Rhea Chakraborty is likely to make her Tollywood debut soon as Bengali filmmaker Rana Sarkar recently approached her with a film script. Rana, who won the National Award for Anjan Dutt starrer Ranjana Ami Aar Ashbona, said Riya is perfect for the lead role in his upcoming film. Referring to his career in Bollywood, he said the actor ‘deserves better’. (Also Read: When Rhea Chakraborty reveals the secret to stress-free relationships)

Rhea turned 30 recently. On her birthday, Rana invited Rhea to join the Bengali film industry through a tweet. “Happy birthday @Tweet2Rhea…the shows must go on. Come to Kolkata and join us #BengaliCinema #Tollywood,” he tweeted.

Talking about his tweet, Rana told OTTplay that he is in touch with Rhea’s manager for a film. Though Rhea is yet to make her decision, the producers said, “We have a script ready and she fits perfectly for one of the lead roles. This is a story of betrayal. Riya speaks very good Bengali and that helps. I have seen her performance. “

“I think Riya’s career is in jeopardy for any mistake on her part. She faced a lot of difficulties and was not getting roles in Mumbai. She is harassed for being someone’s girlfriend and for being a Bengali. I honestly think she is well qualified,” he said.

In 2020, Rhea was embroiled in a major controversy following the death of her boyfriend, actor Sushant Singh Rajput. After Sushant’s death, Rhea and her brother Shok Chakraborty were arrested in a drug-related case that surfaced during the investigation into the actor’s death.

Rhea was last seen in the 2021 mystery thriller Chehre. Directed by Rumi Jaffery, it stars Amitabh Bachchan, Emraan Hashmi, and Siddhant Kapoor.
