Three people were killed and four others were wounded in a gunfight at a warehouse party in Los Angeles early Sunday morning, officials said.
One of the victims of the shooting was in serious condition Monday morning, according to Officer Jared Chaves, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department.
Detectives have yet to determine the motive for the shooting that occurred around 12:30 a.m. Sunday afternoon in the Boyle Heights neighborhood. No suspect information has been released.
There was blood stains on the sidewalk and clothes – including a sneaker – remained on the street as detectives and forensic photographers documented the scene in the hours following the violence.
Chaves said the two victims were stable on Monday and a fourth was released from the hospital.
When officers arrived, they found the two men dead from the gunshots, Chaves said. It was later announced that a third person had died.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as Daniel Dunbar, 27, and Randy Tyson, 25. His autopsies are pending.
The local rapper performed at a MoneySign $ uede party and apologized in an Instagram post that he was on his way home when the call about the shooting began.
“I pray for all the people who were injured and dead last night,” the rapper wrote. “My condolences and heart goes out to all the families of this pain.”
Andre Preston told the Los Angeles Times that his brother Brandon Castro, 18, was hospitalized for gunshot wounds.
“My little brother happened in the wrong place at the wrong time,” Preston told the newspaper.
