Pete Davidson To Leave Saturday Night Live After Season 47 Finale: Report

After being signed as one of the youngest cast members on Saturday Night Live, Pete Davidson is reported to be calling on her to drop out. The finale of the 47th season of the hit US show is expected to be Davidson’s final episode, according to Variety.

Davidson joined the comic strip series in 2014 when he was just 20 years old. Since then, Davidson has played some of the show’s most hilarious characters from relaxed, spacey, one-track boy Chad to SoundCloud rapper Guaplord, creator of “Tucci Gang.”

Davidson has also been seen in multiple episodes as himself on the show’s weekend update, where he tackled several personal things—purchasing a Staten Island ferry, and splitting with Ariana Grande, among other things.

Davidson has, in just under a decade, become one of the comedy show’s brightest stars. His characters were likable, not only for their eccentricity but also for the way he presented them in front of the audience. Many were fascinated by his tendency to break character on stage.

Aside from his recurring roles, he has also portrayed several public figures as well, including rapper Machine Gun Kelly, who happens to be a very good friend of Davidson, and Academy Award winning actor Rami Malek.

Davidson has been in the spotlight not only for his stint at SNL but also for the high-profile romances he’s had, including Bridgeton star, Phoebe Denivore, model Kaia Jordan Gerber, and English actor Kate Beckinsale, among others. Currently, Davidson is dating reality TV star, Kim Kardashian.

As per reports, Davidson isn’t the only one quitting SNL. Three longtime cast members — Eddie Bryant, Kate McKinnon, and Kyle Mooney — have also decided to leave the sitcom. The rumor mill also says Michael Che, who has appeared frequently as a co-host on Weekend Update, too, may be leaving Saturday Night Live.
