No Interview Round for Most Rajasthan State Govt Jobs: CM Ashok Gehlot

The Rajasthan government has decided to abolish the interview process for most positions in the state’s government services. Prime Minister Ashok Jhut has taken the decision to completely end the interview process for most hiring in the state by amending 44 state service rules.

This means that candidates who have appeared in any written examination for Government Government Jobs will not be cross-examined for appointments by the Committee, Board of Directors or appointment authorities for positions. “The Honorable Prime Minister Shri Ashok Gilot Ji’s decision, the corresponding government terminated most of the recruitments!!” Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) tweeted.

In affiliated services, Rajasthan Administrative Services (RAS) and four other specific services, interview rules will still be applicable as the nature of the work requires communication skills. However, interview weight has been set at a maximum of 10 percent of the total grades in these assignments. Interviews for these specific services will be conducted as per the rules of Rajasthan and Affiliated Services (Direct Recruitment by Joint Competitive Examination), 1999.

Calling it a landmark decision, CM Gehlot said it would bring transparency into the recruitment process and remove candidates’ doubts regarding the interview. By amending the 44 Rules of Service, the proposal to cancel the interview was approved. Candidates will no longer be interviewed for appointments to be made by the committee/board/appointing authority for positions falling under said service rules,” tweeted CM Gehlot. (sic)
