Mumbai on Saturday reported 1,745 cases of COVID-19 and one death, bringing the tally here to 1,078,944 and the tally to 19,571, a civil official said. Of the new cases, only 99 required hospitalization, of which 11 required oxygen support, an official at the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation said, bringing the total number of such patients to 34.

The number of recoveries increased by 888 to 1049,326, leaving the city with an active case count of 10,047, compared to 9,191 the day before, he said. He said 14,227 samples were examined in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of tests to 1.72.74.399.
