Maha Records 208 Covid-19 Cases; Death Toll Stays Constant for Fifth Consecutive Day

Maharashtra on Monday recorded 208 cases of COVID-19, bringing the death toll in the state to 7,883,010, while the death toll remained unchanged at 1.47856 for the fifth consecutive day, an official said. He noted that the addition of the number, which included 150 cases from Mumbai, represented a significant decrease from the 326 cases recorded on Sunday.

So far, he said, 7,733,176 people have recovered from the infection, including 133 in the past 24 hours, leaving the state with the number of active infection cases of 1,787. State health ministry data showed that Satara, Sangli, Dhule, Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Latur, Hingoli, Yavatmal, Wardha and Gondia do not have an active case at the moment.

It also revealed that the death rate reached 1.87 percent, while the examination of 14,688 samples in the past 24 hours raised the total number of examinations in the state to 807.222623.
