A former MLA, a resident of Punjab Mata City, said five people had jumped into the farm and assaulted two of their employees. “They captured my workers while loading the stolen buffalo into the vehicle.”
Jodhan, who was at the house at the time of the incident, said the burglars had a land acquaintance and had conducted reconnaissance before targeting the diary. “I’m at a loss ₹10 lakh, ” he said.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Balwinder Singh said that the case has been registered under Section 323 of the Indian Penal Code (Voluntary Punishment), 395 (Punishment for Burglary), 148 (Riot, Armed with Deadly Weapons) and 149 (Crime of Unlawful Assembly). Filed against the accused. Police are scanning CCTVs to identify them.
