Jos Buttler Butchered RCB’s Hopes for IPL Trophy and There Were a Hundred Memes

Jos Buttler made an absolute mockery of the Royal Challengers Bangalore bowling attack as the English cricketer blasted his fourth century for the Rajasthan Royals at the ongoing IPL 2022, catapulting RR to the World Cup Finals since their opening start under Shane Warne. With the RCB restricted to a modest score of 157/8, it became abundantly clear that Butler, who opened up to the RR, was in a hurry to take his side home. Not only did he blast a century at a big stage like Qualifier 2, but he also did so with a lot of elegance as he crossed the six-time limit and ten limit in his unbeaten 106th which came in just 60 times.

As Butler dashed the RCB team’s hopes of raising their first trophy under the fave du Plessis, fans flocked over the RR car with words of appreciation (read: memes).

Meanwhile, Butler also became only the third hitter after Virat Kohli and David Warner to cross the 800-point mark in a single season of the Indian Premier League. Notably, Kohli set 973 IPL records for 2016, the most in a single season. David Warner was also in the shape of his life looting 848 rounds to help SunRisers Hyderabad seal its first title.
