According to data shared by the Ministry of Health, 10 new covidate-associated deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths since the onset of the epidemic to 5,24,303.
500 new cases in 24 hours in Delhi
The nation’s capital witnessed 532 new cases on Wednesday and zero deaths due to disease, but the positivity rate stands at 2.13 per cent, according to data shared by the city health department. On Tuesday, there were 393 new cases in the nation’s capital with a positive rate of 3.35 per cent and two deaths.
Covid-19 cases in other states
The state of Maharashtra witnessed 307 new Kovid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, with 194 reported from Mumbai alone. Telangana witnessed 45 cases on Wednesday. 37 such cases were reported in Madhya Pradesh, 36 in Tamil Nadu and 32 in Gujarat. According to information shared by news agency PTI, Chhattisgarh has reported 14 new Kovid-19 cases, 13 cases in Odisha and 6 cases in J&K.
Vaccination and renewal of Kovid-19 recovery
More than 13.7 lakh vaccine doses have been issued in India in the last 24 hours, according to statistics from the Ministry of Health. More than 2.17 lakh booster vaccine doses are available. A total of 191.79 crore vaccine doses have been issued so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.
More than 2,582 new recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours. On Thursday, the total recovery number rose to 4,25,89,841, with the national recovery rate now at 98.75 percent.
