IIM Kozhikode launches ‘Centre for Climate Studies’

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode has launched the Center for Climate Studies. The CCS – which will be IIMK’s Center of Excellence – will focus on climate leadership, internationalization and management for policy, technology and enterprise (climate) development.

The center will create and deliver short-term training courses to produce climate ambassadors involved in collaborative climate research initiatives through the Lakshadweep Studies Program and move educational universities toward carbon neutrality, among other goals.

IIM Kozhikode has also announced a call for researchers, academics and thought leaders worldwide to submit papers on the special issue related to climate which closes on October 17, 2022. Applications can be submitted at – journalals.sagepub.com/home/ksm

Professor Depachis Chatterjee, Director of IIM Kozhikode for the Center for Climate Studies, declared that “Climate change is a formidable challenge that the international community, national policy makers and educational institutions need to respond proactively to. Research, technological innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership and environmental awareness will be the foundation upon which the Center will seek to deliver A meaningful contribution towards India’s goals of achieving carbon neutrality by 2070.”
