If details of Indian force’s bravery are made public, every citizen will feel proud: Rajnath on China standoff

Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Friday that if the details of the bravery of the Indian force during the India-China standoff were made public, every Indian would feel proud of their bravery.

Speaking at a meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers in Pune, Singh said India’s stature had grown internationally under the “charismatic” leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

I won’t talk much about (the issue of) India and China. The way our soldiers showed courage and bravery… I will say that if the full information were revealed, the heart of every Indian would be filled with pride. Singh said.

Singh said that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership “India has entered the group of countries with the fastest growing economies, something that congressional governments in the past have not been able to achieve during decades of government”.

After enumerating the NDA government’s welfare programs including PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana), Swachch Bharat Yojana, Kisan Samman Yojana and piped water supply, Singh described them as “successful schemes with far-reaching implications”.

“Opening Jan Dan accounts and direct transfer of benefits has stopped corruption in welfare programmes. There is no money leakage,” Singh said.

He said that during the eight-year tenure of the Modi government, India’s standing on the international level had grown.

“Recently, I was in San Francisco. Indians I met there told me that there has been a drastic change in the way India is viewed in their country. Earlier, others did not pay much attention to what India said. Now, when India speaks in international forums, Everyone listens with open ears.”

He said that during the COVID-19 crisis and the war crisis in Ukraine, the government had succeeded in evacuating the stranded Indians abroad.

“Because of the prime minister’s standing, he spoke to Russian President (Vladimir) Putin and asked him to stop the bombing until the Indians were evacuated from the war zone to Poland,” Singh said.

He said BJP workers should not feel “guilt” about the country’s soaring inflation, and cited the pandemic and the Ukraine war as reasons for soaring commodity prices.

“During the pandemic, all economic activities came to a halt but nevertheless, the prime minister saved the economy from hitting rock bottom. Then came the Ukraine-Russia crisis, which upset supply chains. So it is normal for the economy to be affected. Even the United States, which is the richest country, is seeing the highest rate Inflated in the past 40 years, “In comparison, India is doing much better,” Singh said.
