The Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced that from next year, exams for ICSE and ISC levels will be held only once a year. The official notice regarding this can be found on the official CISCE website – cisce.org.
“CISCE has decided to conduct only one examination at the end of the 2023 academic year at the ICSE and ISC levels. CISCE proposes to hold the said examinations provisionally in February/March 2023,” the official notice said.
Schools have been directed to plan the academic calendar accordingly, to ensure that students’ academic lives are not disrupted.
The Council has also announced that some changes have been made to the syllabus for selected subjects, which is now available on the official CISCE website. “Please note that the syllabus for the ICSE and ISC 2023 examination has been revised in specific subjects. The revised syllabus is available on the CISCE website, under publication section,” the official notice read.
Sample papers for all subjects will soon be available on the official website. The council indicated that these papers will be available on the official website as of July 2022.
