The Bureau of Meteorology said heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms occurred in isolated places in eastern Rajasthan while several places received light to moderate rain in the 24 hours ending at 8:30 am on Sunday.
Srinagar in Ajmer recorded 7 cm of rain, 6 cm each in Bhadur and Sujangarh, and 5 cm each in Tonk Thsel, Begun, Hendoli, Baswa, Ratangarh and Suratgarh. She said that different places recorded rainfall from 1 cm to 4 cm in 24 hours.
MeT’s regional director, Radishyam Sharma, said Baran, Kota, Bundi, Tonk, Ajmer, Nagor, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Barmer districts are likely to experience heavy rain accompanied by thunder in some places.
In the next four to five days, he said, rain is likely to fall in eastern Rajasthan accompanied by thunderstorms in most places and heavy rain in some places.
He added that there is a strong possibility on Tuesday of very heavy rain in one or two places and heavy rain in some places in Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer and Kota divisions.
