Gyanvapi: Mahua Moitra under social media fire for BARC meme | Latest News India

Trinamool Lok Sabha MP Mahua Moitra tweeted, “We hope the Bhabha Atomic Research Center is not next in the excavation list.”

Trinamool Lok Sabha MP Mahuva Moitra posted a photo of the Bhabha Nuclear Research Center on Wednesday and swiped the ongoing commotion over the Varanasi Jnanawasi Mosque. The Trinamool leader was criticized after the tweet; WhatsApp is doing a round of forwarding. However, Mahua Moitra was not the first of his party to bring the Bhabha Atomic Research Center into an ongoing narrative. Trinamool Rajya Sabha MP Jawahar Sircar has previously tweeted, “The devotees of Bhabha Atomic Research Center will soon announce the huge Shivalinga!”

Mahua Moitra, who is quite active on Twitter, is a bitter critic of the BJP. Early on Wednesday, he tweeted a description of India’s economy as a mockery, hinting that the government was just digging in when India’s economy was in a deteriorating state.

However, a comparison between the Bhabha Atomic Research Center and the Shivalinga brought Trinamool MPs under the fire of social media users, who alleged that it had hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus. Many social media users are not only BARC but all atomic atoms look like Shivalingas, as the shape can hold a huge amount of energy.

The Supreme Court bench comprising Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice PS Narasimha will hear the petition challenging the survey of the Varanasi court-mandated mosque. On Tuesday, the matter came to trial and the Supreme Court asked the local administration to seal the spot where the poll was said to have been found to be ‘Shivalinga’ but said Muslims should not be allowed to perform Namaz in the mosque.
