Gujarat govt to hold Vikas Yatra in July, says Vaghani

To disseminate information regarding the development work done in Gujarat under the rule of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the past two decades, the state government organized the Vande Gujarat Vikas Yatra between July 1 and 15, Government Spokesperson and Senior Minister Jitu Vajani said on Monday.

Vagini said 80 chariots will be part of the yatra that will be carried out in various areas across the state under the leadership of Chef Minister Bhupendra Patel and other ministers, members of Parliament and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislature.

These vehicles are scheduled to cover 10 villages, each of which publishes daily information on the various development plans of the government in the past two decades, while the benefits of various government plans will be distributed to the beneficiaries.

During the briefing, Vajani also announced a tentative travel plan for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Gujarat later this week, ahead of this year’s assembly elections.

Accordingly, PM Modi will arrive in the state on the evening of 17th June and stay in Raj Bhavan.

On June 18, he will visit the Mahakali Temple in Pavagadh, followed by a visit to Virasat Van near Pavagadh. Next, Gujarat is scheduled to attend Gaurav Abhiyan in the land of leprosy in Vadodara.

From Vadodara, Modi is expected to allocate or lay the foundation stone for several railway projects worth Rs 16,369 crore. It is also expected to extend the Bhushan Soudha Yojana, which aims to provide adequate nutrition to pregnant and lactating mothers, to all the tribal areas of Gujarat.
