Ganguly rates India’s performance in England tour, mentions Kohli in viral post | Cricket

Team India ended their 2022 tour of England on a resounding note on Sunday as Rohit Sharma’s men scripted a five-wicket victory in Manchester to clinch the ODI series 2-1. Rishabh Pant’s stunning debut ODI century and Hardik Pandya’s record-scripting all-round talent helped India end their Manchester jinx. After the big win BCCI president Sourav Ganguly rated India’s performance in the 2022 tour of England and Virat Kohli was quoted in a viral post.

India’s 2022 tour included a rescheduled fifth Test from the 2021 series, which was postponed along with two limited-overs series due to the Covid-19 outbreak in the Indian camp. While India started their tour on a heartbreaking note with a win over England in the Edgbaston Test, the visitors bounced back in the white-ball format, beating the hosts 2-1 in both the ODI and T20Is.

It was India’s first ODI series win in England since 2014 and fourth series overall.

“Very happy. Came here, wanted to achieve something as a group in the white ball. Last time we were here and got beaten, I remember that. It’s not an easy place to come and win matches,” India captain Rohit Sharma said after the big. Victory in the post-match presentation.
