Karnataka Higher Education Minister Dr CN Ashwatthanarayana shared the video and congratulated Chandra Arya for speaking in Kannada at the Canadian Parliament. Chandra Arya was elected to the Canadian Parliament for the first time in 2015 and then to the second time representing the Napier in 2019.
Chandra Arya, son of former Commercial Tax Assistant Commissioner K Govind Iyer, was born and raised in Karnataka. He studied engineering at the University of Bangalore and did his MBA from Karnataka University. Prior to moving to Qatar, he worked in Delhi for DRDO and Karnataka State Finance Corporation. From Qatar, Chandra Arya moved to Canada, and his wife left for work. There he began a full-fledged political career.
