Edinson Cavani scored two goals to lead Uruguay to a 5-0 win over Panama in an international friendly match on Saturday.

The outgoing Manchester United striker opened the scoring in the 39th minute at the Centenario with a low goal after a Giorgian Arrascaeta pass.

Cavani doubled the lead right after the first half by converting a penalty kick after Alex Rodriguez knocked it out.

Nicolas de la Cruz, Maxi Gomez and Diego Rossi added goals to the second half, as Uruguay gave their fans a reason to celebrate in the team’s last home game before the World Cup, according to Xinhua.

Celeste was drawn into Group H of the superb football tournament alongside Portugal, Ghana and South Korea. The World Cup will be held in Qatar from November 21 to December 18.
