Rahul Gandhi will appear before the Enforcement Directorate on Monday in the National Herald case.
Dramatic scenes unfolded on Monday morning when Congress workers gathered to protest the National Herald case before Rahul Gandhi appeared before the Enforcement Directorate. Some Congress workers were arrested near the party headquarters as they shouted slogans in support of Gandhi, the news agency ANI reported.
Security has also been raised at the Office of the Enforcement Directorate. More protests are expected throughout the day in the nation’s capital and other parts of the country.
Delhi police – late on Sunday – refused to allow the party to stage a protest in the national capital, citing the “communal situation” and the VVIP movement.
