Delhi Police has made a fresh charge against journalist Mohammad Zubair. The co-founder of fact-checking website Alt News was accused of receiving money from Pakistan and other countries through payment gateway RazorPay when his bail plea was heard in a Delhi court. The police alleged that Zubair had received foreign money in violation of the FCRA (Foreign Contribution Control Act). “Donations have come from Pakistan and Syria. Zubair is the director of Pravda media,” public prosecutor Atul Srivastava told the court, adding that money was also received from Singapore, UAE and Riyadh. Watch this video for more details.
