Delhi Capitals players receive gifts from fans at team hotel | Cricket

The Delhi Capitals may have failed to qualify for the playoffs but that has not affected their fans. DC players were surprised when they received many gifts from their fans at their team hotel in Mumbai before their last league match against the Mumbai Indians. Fans showed their support by moving players through drawings, posters and personalized notes and gifts.

Supporters have found another way to let the Delhi Capitals know that they haven’t been operating in their own city for the past three seasons and so players are always on their thoughts throughout the season. Fans mailed their selected goodies to the Delhi Capitals office in Delhi, which was then delivered to the team in Mumbai.

Additionally, fans had the opportunity to interact with leader Rishabh Pant, head coach Ricky Ponting and other members of the Delhi Capitals camp at the virtual meet. Fans performed their sketches, danced, sang songs and even recited personalized poems for the band.

The Delhi Capitals finished fifth in IPL 2022 after losing to Mumbai Indians by 5 wickets in their final league match.
