India recorded 11,739 new Kovid-19 cases, down 26 per cent from yesterday’s 15,940 cases, according to statistics from the Health Ministry. The ministry said 25 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours and the death toll reached 5,24,999.

The bulletin showed that the total number of Kovid-19 in the country reached the 43.39 million mark, while active cases rose to 92,576.

Active cases accounted for 0.21 per cent of total infections and the country’s recovery rate was 98.58 per cent, according to the Ministry of Health.

The daily positivity rate was recorded at 2.59 percent, while the weekly positivity rate was 3.25 percent, according to the data. Meanwhile, Kovid’s death rate stands at 1.21 per cent.

On the vaccination front, about two billion doses have been administered so far in the country under the nationwide Covid-19 inoculation drive.

On December 19, 2020, India’s Covid amount exceeded one crore standards. This figure crossed two crore on May 4 and three crore on June 23 last year. On January 25 this year, India’s Kovid number crossed the four crore mark.

However, the country’s covid numbers with mild to moderate symptoms for most patients are currently under control. However, the center is holding review meetings with states to keep the latest figures under control.
