Court grants anticipatory bail to two MNS leaders

Thursday’s hearings court granted pre-emptive bail to two Maharashtra chiefs Navnirman Sena in connection with the FIRs registered against them at Shivaji Park Police Station.

Earlier this month, police detained Sandeep Deshpande, Santosh Dhuri and their driver Rahul Vaishya on charges of obstructing a public servant from performing his duty, and on charges of causing injury, after they managed to stay away from the residence of Raj Thackeray, head of the National Security Service. When a team of police was trying to arrest Deshpande as a precaution.

The court in the hearings allowed Deshpande and Dori’s pre-emptive bail suit and also granted bail to Vaishya member and movement member Pramukh Sali, who were both arrested in the case.

Police had disputed their pleas, saying an investigation was still ongoing. In their pleas, the men said their detention was not required.
