Cong appoints Supriya Shrinate as new social media head

The Congress on Monday appointed Supriya Shrinati as Head of Social Media and Digital Platforms in the Communications Division. She replaces Rohan Gupta, who has been appointed as the party’s spokesperson with immediate effect.

“The Speaker of the Congress has approved the appointment of Supriya Shrinet as chairperson, social media and digital platforms in the new communications department with immediate effect,” an official statement from the party read.

The party appreciates the contribution of Rohan Gupta, the outgoing head of the social media division. Rohan Gupta has been appointed as AICC spokesperson with immediate effect.”

The party reconstituted the Communications Division by appointing Jerome Ramesh as a responsible General Secretary. The party also appointed Pawan Khaira as Head of Media and Propaganda in the Communications Department.

The Congress during Udaipur “Chintan Shivir” decided to strengthen the communications wing to help improve its communication with the people. The communications department will have social media and digital platforms within its scope, as well as party communications wings in all states to ensure better coordination.
