Chris Hemsworth’s brother Luke appears as Thor in this hilarious video

Luke Hemsworth, Chris Hemsworth’s brother, appeared in the ad, in which he played Chris’ character, Thor. Chris’ Thor: Love and Thunder releases on July 8.

Actor Chris Hemsworth is currently gearing up for the release of his movie Thor: Love and Thunder on July 7. In an ad for a popular shaving brand, Chris’s brother Luke appears as Thor. In the spoof video, Luke talks about how playing the Marvel character is an ‘electrifying’ feeling for him. In the 30-second long commercial, Luke can be seen impersonating Chris in steel armor and Thor’s iconic red cape. He says, “You know, playing God of Thunder is electrifying. A lot of people think he and I look alike.” At the end of the video, Luke tries to summon Thor’s hammer, yelling, “I’m worthy.”

Many fans reacted to the video on YouTube and Twitter. One person wrote, “One of the only brands with really good and entertaining ads.” One person tweeted, “Remember when Luke Hemsworth played the fake Thor in Thor: Ragnarok, he’s at it again.” One person tagged the brand and wrote, “Old Spice take my money.” “They used the wrong brother in the ad,” said one, while another wrote, “Awesome.”

Luke Hemsworth is the older brother of actors Chris Hemsworth and Liam Hemsworth. Luke portrays the actor portraying Thor in the 2017 release Thor: Ragnarok.

Chris’ Thor: Love and Thunder was announced at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019, where studio boss Kevin Feige revealed that Natalie Portman was returning to the franchise for the first time since Thor: The Dark World. In addition to Natalie Portman, other stars include Tessa Thompson, returning as Valkyrie, and franchise debutants Christian Bale and Russell Crowe. Chris Pratt and Dave Bautista will also return from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. The film will release on July 7 in India in 6 languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
