An angry group of youths for refusing to enter the club vandalized eight vehicles parked outside the Jungle Bar in Kaligram, Manimajra on Friday night.
According to police, the youth had come to the club while a private party was being held and was therefore denied entry.
The angry youths damaged vehicles parked outside the club. He pelted stones on eight vehicles and smashed his front and rear glasses before running away. Onlookers said they also carried wooden planks wrapped in barbed wire. One such board has been confiscated by the police.
Bouncers at the club heard the police yelling and screaming, but the accused escaped as they made their way to the parking lot.
Initially, police were notified of some shootings outside the club, but no shots were fired, he said. Police are scanning footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area and in the club to get a clue of the accused.
“We are reviewing the incident and action will be taken accordingly,” said Inspector Javier Singh Rana, Station House Officer (SHO), Mauli Jagaran.
