Chandigarh: Cheating case against developer for delay in plot’s possession

A case has been filed against Manohar Infrastructure and Construction Pvt.

Police have filed a case against the managing director and director of the realty firm who defrauded the customers by failing to hand over the plot.

The complainant, Sarita Devi Rampal of Gurdaspur, Punjab, alleged that she had booked the plot in November 2011 with her husband from Manohar Infrastructure and Construction Pvt Ltd at Palm Garden, Mullanpur.

He promised that the project was approved and the acquisition would be handed over within two years, so he paid the developer 49.40 lakhs.

But a decade later, Rampal alleged that he had not yet acquired the plot, which was sold to him without approval.

On her complaint, police filed a complaint against the company’s managing director Terinder Singh and director Narinder Beer Singh for section 406 (breach of criminal trust), 420 (forgery), 467 (forgery of security, forgery), 468 (forgery) on Friday at Sector-17 police station. ), 471 (using a genuine forged document or electronic record) and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code (criminal conspiracy)
